after reading over my previous post...yeah. i can't wait.
-my social skills might stop receding so quickly
-friends!
-make my own food
-though i'm currently at about a second grade level,
i get to start learning and thinking a little bit
oh, yay, this will be great!

to do this week.
-pack and drive to utah
-register for classes
-find an apartment
-find a job
-try to get excited about doing all of the above
let me tell you about the advice my good man h.f. amiel gave me:
"the man who insists on seeing with perfect clearness before he decides, never decides."

the goose is getting fat
elise says i must blog but i just get so whiny when i have so much to catch up on. so, i will linkety-link to my facebook albums instead of posting picture upon picture. lame-o-rama, i know.
picking up craig and cruising was great, though i wasn't a fan of the 80-degrees-plus-humidity-in-december we found in florida. bahamas beautiful, lots of food, wandered the wobbly ship with craig. pictures are here:
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=67350&l=ea071&id=641602693.
on the way home we visited the berhans and faveros, then when we got home the barbens and faveros came to visit us. lots of people and fun! a highlight was the workout video that elise, whitney, brooklyn, and i made...we're trying to decide whether we want to release barnyard bod and become millionares or keep it a secret and pretend like we're normal. photos here:
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=68130&l=2adae&id=641602693
jon, rachel, hyrum, and lydia also came over and brought their 4-wheelers, which were a huge hit (especially with all the snow we got). i hate life when i'm cold, but i did go out once and brooklyn drove me around. also, the boys really love to go to carl's jr. and watch very long sporting events and eat dinner, so while they were watching the byu game the girls had a dance party/competition/thing. and pictures are here...

and now i'm very tired and it's only minutes until christmas...yay!
i will be a better blogger tomorrow (but maybe don't hold me to that).

one excellent summer
i found some great pictures from 2006
which was made of all-hours lounging in the lobby
and walking the boy scout route daily
and lots of picnics and silly escapades.
warren seems to be the theme here.

one day katie and whitney and i were at big lots,
and wh. & i found these excellent undies.
we put them on together and walked over to find katie.
she was very embarrassed to be seen with us.
most people will wear these with me for a walk around the block. katie and andrew will not.
when not being worn, they were my pillowcase.
best 99 cents i ever spent.

another winning purchase was the three-foot gummy snake
(her name was sissy).
warren ate it all up and then acted like a dinosaur.
it was a big event.

warren wanted some capris, but they do not sell them for men in provo. katie helped him alter some pants into capris, then made us armbands from the remnants.

one potato two potato sweet potato four
my dad is a genius!
elise and i have been wanting sweet potatoes, so i was going to put some in the oven. as i was forking them, dad told me that if you stick a nail in them the nail will heat up and cook it from the inside, too. i was a little skeptical, but he has been right a few times.
i hammered in a few.
the nailed ones were much more moist and less deflated-looking.
try it!
ps: apparently i did not inherit dad's genius. i thought it would be best to cook on the rack with no pan. the oven floor is now covered in the caramelized juices that spilled right over. where are the eight cans of oven cleaner under my provo apartment sink when i need them?

glazed

seriously. sometimes i can eat it and be just fine. i have been generally avoiding it for the past few months or years or whatever, but lately every time i eat it is no good. instantly puffy, instant brain fog. and a great new reaction is ridiculous irritability. everything is annoying. i am angry. now does that sound like marae?
stay away from me, you stinking staff of other people's lives.
