(we'll keep saying how lucky we are)

we study at the bookstore sometimes, and sometimes we take a break and walk around. the last time we walked by a particular section containing no less than 50 books i want to read, i quickened my gait and said something like,

"you know we can't walk by this section because it makes we want to just read until i diiie."

really. sometimes all i want is to live with sun and fruit trees and white bedding and a clothesline and shelves and shelves of books.

and sometimes i want a brick apartment in the city with months of travel and lots of walking (...and shelves and shelves of books).

i really can't picture my dream future. in one picture. it may be more of a...cube, with preferred outcomes on every face. which can be confusing when it comes to decision-making (but convenient when it comes to happiness-making).

(remind me to avoid waxing metaphorical...or whatever that was.)

anyway, i do know that i don't have an overwhelming desire for a lawn. or stucco.

that's a start.

i used to read for days on this bed.

and when i needed a breath from reading i walked outside.

(that really was a dream house, mom. why do you not live there anymore?)
